Yes I have already searched this issue a bit and found some things to try with minimal success. I have a 2000 lude with a 4th gen transmission from a 95 lude in it. I have been dealing with this pretty bad 3rd gear grind for a while now. I have changed the tranny fluid using the new honda fluid, and just recently the syncromesh. The grind was getting really terrible upshifting and downshifting even slowly. The syncromesh cured some of the problem if I shift slowly enough (which we all know is no fun), I can avoid the grind most of the time. I was wondering if it may have something to do with that crappy short shifter adapter I have on their from dc sports I believe. I have heard bad things about this causing gear grinds. I have the new pspec short shifter that I have yet to install, I am wondering if this will help. I have heard nothing but great things about the product. The install just looked too involved and I would prefer a professional install it. Let me know any input you guys have that may be constructive. Don't have the loot to replace the tranny or the synchros right now, but an lsd tranny with a better gear ratio will be in my future. I have also tried that trick where you rev the engine to 4500 rpms and slowly push the tranny into the bad gear for 15 seconds as well. That fixed the problem perfectly for about 4-6 months and it came back. Tried it again but did not work.
Thanks
