Rockofcali's slow 2dr teg build 56k beware
im starting off with the stuff that takes little to no money so i started with the tail lights
i did that bleach trick but i didnt like how they came out so i put them in the oven and took em apart.. when i got them apart i took the piece with the white lines out with the intention of sanding them down so that they would look really white...the bleach ended up eating all the way through the white lines and i was able to wipe them off down to the black

these are the first lights i have taken apart so this is the result of that a small crack on one

hear is a pic when i first started sanding

half way done sanding. what happended to the letters?

after sanding with 400 800 and 1000 grit sand papers

sandpapers

time for the buffing

pink rubbing compound haha forgot what its called really good stuff tho

my finished product

i have a feeling that these will leak so im probly going to take them apart again and put silicone

How long did you put it in the oven for? and what did you set the oven to? If I'm reading it correctly you put in the whole taillight right?
I've been thinking of doing the bleach trick but from looking at other people's results the white looked too bright. Your taillights came out perfectly.
BTW: Good job with your teg, it's a inspiration for me to get my lazy *** to work.
