Default Low temp fan switch and low temp thermostat, must be ran together?

hey guys, just wonderinf if a low temp thermoswitch/fan switch MUST be ran together with a low temp thermostat? My oem fan switch is busted and i was gonna replace it but found low temp fan switches on ebay for cheaper than oem, im gonna be boostin very soon, 400+whp. So i thought it might be a good idea to upgrade anyways.

Also, do i have to buy a damn mugen one? lol or can i get away with using the one below on ebay, i mean if i dont work, ill know right away the fan aint kicking on, and im always watchin my defi water gauge. Thanks!

i wouldnt trust ebay part like that.. i would go with a good company. i know J's racing, Mugen, Spoon use to make low temp thermostats with matching fan switches.

some tuning programs you can tell it when to turn on the fan as well. not 100% sure but im almost postive there were some Tuning equipment that can do that

there is also buddy club low temp fan switches on ebay for $32, buddy club is a good know name right?

*edit*

Buddy Club's Racing Spec plug-and-play fan switch activates your cooling fan at 80 degrees C instead of the stock 93 degrees for better cooling and efficiency.

It is basically pointless to run a lower temp fan switch without a lower temp thermostat, as your engine will not run any cooler. Having the fan on at a lower temperature is analogous to driving down the highway, the radiator itself is much cooler than the motor. I can hold my hand on the radiator of my silverado after highway driving, for instance, while the motor is at normal temp. The thermostat controls the % of coolant going through the radiator to keep the motor at that constant temp. The only advantage to keeping your radiator at a lower temp is you increase your cooling system's thermal reserve capacity. You might not understand what I mean by this, but basically, it is pointless to run a lower temp fan without the lower temp thermostat. And if you do decide to get both of these, make sure you can still get into closed loop at that lower temp, or your mpg will most likely suffer. I would just run at stock temp..lower emissions, the oil is hot enough to boil off any h20 from blow by, and the oem temp is what they take into account when they set the piston/wall clearances..
