Default Will I Run Into Problems? Skunk2Stage2 w/ Supertech Valvetrain

I tried searching but I didn't find what I was looking for.

Im going to be rebuilding my head and I wanted to know if ANYONE has ran into problems with their skunk2 stage2 camshafts with the supertech valvetrain. Should I just go with the skunk2 tuner hi comp valvetrain? Ive heard many people have problems with skunk2 valvetrain so that is what steered me away.

TY in advance

S2 PRO Series/Super Tech/ and RM is probably the only VT that I would feel comfortable using TI retainers in a DD. RM has cylinder heads with 60k plus on the retainers with NO signs of wear, and the 3 mentioned above are more than adequate for the S2S2 profile.

I am in the process of putting a motor together for my brother using supertech valvetrain with Al retainers, & s2p2 cams. It will be a dd engine & combustion contraption did the head work. He does some top notch work if you are looking to get your head done also. I think you will be just fine with yor setup.

Everything looks fine.

When a company says "must" use with their, many times it's just so you won't go with another company..

that depends, skunk2 has two different valve spring levels, the "tuner" and "pro" series. Pro being for the bigger more demanding cams. Tuner series springs can be used on pro1 cams, but skunk2 reccomends pro series. It all depends on where the supertech springs are, if they would below skunk2 pro series in [hardness?? spring rate???] - (I forgot how valve springs are measured...) then I would not....

With supertech or tuner series, you should have no problems if installed correctly.
