Been driving for about 2 month and hadn't noticed until today that when I pulled the key from the ignition it was very warm/hot. Tried to touch it to my cheek and it was to hot to hold it there. Has anyone else experienced this, I don't think it should be that hot? Is this something I should be concerned about.

Never tried that. Will check out next time I drive the car.

 

i called honda they said its normal....but every honda i've had never did that. i guess if anything happens the warranty will cover it. lol

 

my key does this I've actually burned myself with it once

 

im pretty sure my honda keys are just like my mini cooper keys as in the cars ignition actually charges the batteries inside the keys
