i did some searching and couldn't really find what i was looking for...












sorry for all the pictures, i just wanted to make sure, because my hayne's manual is a little broad on this subject.

look at pic 4, the |/\| should be lined up with the V below it, like a rifle sight, and they should be 'aimed' at the white mark. it looks like you are a little off.
pic 1 looks like your cam is close but not dead on, could be camera angle though.
pic 2 is close to how you want to see, but the V should be inside like this |/v\| with the white mark on the crank pulley at the V.

yeah look at the white mark on the crank pulley not the red one.

Looks like your timing is on even though you dont have it in TDC. Rotate a hair counter clock wise and youll be set.

thanks, it was kind of a retarded post, but im changing out my camshaft tomorrow and i wanna make sure my timing is fine before i start messing with my cam/cam gear, im having a really hard time finding those damn marks on the crank pulley, they're kinda hard to see...

brush them off with a wire brush, you're going to want to see them when you set you ignition timing.
