Alright. To start off, I have the worst wheels and tires. But anyway, I'm looking for 215/40/17's. Don't ask why I have 17" wheels, they came with the car. Anyway, I'm looking at Kumho's ECSTA Supra 712 which is W speed rated, Yokohama's A520 which is also W rated, Dunlop's SP Sport FM901 which is again W speed rated, and Sumitomo's HTR Z II which is Z rated.
I haven't had any experience with any of the W rated tires, but I have been in a Corvette with the Sumitomo's and the ride and handling were very nice. So, I would like opinions on which tires to get. This will be for a daily driver / canyon carver / occational track racer / yada yada. I'm not looking to spend a HUGE amount of money on tires, so that's why I picked the ones that I did. If there are any other tires in a 215/40/17 with higher than, and not including, H rating, please tell me. Thanks in advance.

For the money you'll spend on tires for the 17" setup.. it would be cheaper to go to a 15" wheel and tire setup. Ditch the big heavy wheelz, and pick up some rota wheels and Kuhmo 712's. Very good daily driver/open track tire. I would say the azenis, but they scared the chit outta me the other day in the rain.
