Default Rattle in the block after the swap PLEASE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

I swapped a B18A1 from a 93 teg into my ef 89 si.
-that went smooth.

after running it I had no compression like driving a beat up d15 and there was a loud rattle (like a bolt getting tossed around) coming from either the block or tranny.

I took the oil pan, splash guard blah blah blah off and all of the piston rods look fine, turned the crank a couple time and saw nothin out of the ordinary. now I am stumped.

bearings? connecting rods? I have no idea which is why i am askin... What do i look @ next?

Thank you -C1...

look if there are any metal shavings in the oil pan. you probably have a spun bearing or something.

another thing... there is rad flewid drippin from one of the oil pan bolts one of my friends told me that the knocking could be a bad water pump and also where the metal shavings are coming from... since all of the rods look good the piston walls look good the inside of the block looks good I'm thinkin either tranny, water pump or like guy above posted the rod bearings.. even though I cant see any damage or metal sticking out by the journals could it still be the bearings? the sound is similar to sticking two ten mil nuts in a tin box and shakin it up slow..

Don't like or trust shops n I know for sure I can tighten a nut just as good as the next guy just need to find what nut to hit ya feel meh..

thanks for the help guys..

yups its if metal shavings you probably have spun a bearing. i would personally just get e new block. cause if you spun a bearing most likely you crank shaft is scarred.

LS and 2.0 cranks are the same. make sure the caps aren't scratched too.
