Default most comfortable seat for a 97 dx

Well, I'll be driving from minneapolis to houston in a couple months and need a more comfortable seat for my DX. I need something cheap and easy. I heard del sol seats are great? -Joe

Integra seats. Del Sols are nice and sit low, but offer very little padding and no lumbar support.

i love my del sol seats!

one of the cheapest, best investment i've made -- besides an oem leather steering wheel cover

Del Sol seats sit really low to the floor. My back hurts when getting up after a short trip. I can only imagine a long trip in them.

I am about 6'1" and already have lower back problems (partially due to the current seats-pretty worn down). Lower support is probably my highest priority. Sometimes I would even put my cd case behind my back for awhile. I normally drive between 800-1000 miles per week. This will really be a nice early x-mas gift to me from me.

Thanks for the input ladies/gents.

DC/DA teg seats are super comfy. And you can find mint sets of da's under $100 sometimes.

A few months ago I picked up some GSR seats for 100$. Well worth the 100$. Not the most uber comfy seat. One of the best bangs for the buck.

Im 6'5" so fitting comfortably in a civic isnt really an option anymore -_-

you're not alone.. then when i get off work and im wearing work boots my leg damn near comes up to my chest to push the clutch lol. but its a sacrafice that needs too be made.

.. back on topic, if cost is an issue than yeah your best choice in my opinion would be some gsr cloth's. gl

i would have to disagree with some people on here. i used to have a 94 integra, and the seats are not that comfy for long trips. but i have del sol seats in my 92 hatch and i love them. they may sit low, but they really conform to my body

honestly, what this whole topic is going to come down to is that it depends on the drivers perspective, a del sol seat may not be comfy to me but another guy may swear by them. so i still lean towards teg seats due to the fact im tall and probly go through the same issues with fitment as you. gl

I don't really have any issues with my stock '98 EX coupe seat, but the Integra seat that was recently put in my boyfriend's car (to replace the del Sol seat) is very comfortable.

Damn straight .

The stock coupe seat in my '97 EX is fine on long trips, no back pain, cramps, or anything, and I'm not exactly skinny anorexic.

On the flipside, my friend just acquired a new '00 Integra GSR and it has the stock GSR leather interior, and that's quite comfortable too, he likes it, I like it, I took my ex for a 2 and a half hour ride in it (hour and 15 each way) to pick up parts and she said she likes it too. GSR leather rules...I'm not a fan of the del sol seats though many claim they're the best...but like I said, I have no problems with my stock '97 EX seats...though I guess that's not saying much as I recently made a 250 mile trip in an S2K and it was quite a tight fit for a big guy like me, and I didn't really have any complaints...kodak moment if you will. So maybe I just don't care how comfortable the car is so I have a biased opinion about not caring about my stock '97 EX seats .

In any event, my ex that I took for a ride with the Integra GSR leather like, a few days ago, is quite bitchy about seats - she hated my camaro's bench seat, she hated my friend's S-10 seat, and she hated my '95 EX's seat...and even though I can't find many (any) differences between the '97 EX's seat and the '95 EX's seat, she doesn't mind the '97 EX.

Summarized:
Stay away from racing seats if you want comfort...some say the del sols are good, I'm not a huge fan of them...the Integra seats are quite nice, I and many others like the leather 'teg seats...and uhh...coupe seats are quite decent...not sure if they're any different from the ones in your DX...

Hope that helps some, man...

Oh yeah, and my boyfriend and I both rode cross country in my '98 EX with those same stock seats. Besides it sucking that we had to site for hours at a time, we didn't really get sore the entire ride.

We went from Delaware to Connecticut (stayed there a little bit) and then to Washington state in four days.
