Rear bumper support

Default Rear bumper support

Does any one know how t remove the rea bumper support on an 89 civic hb? Mines all rusted out and needs to be replaced. Dont know how to take it off.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Remove the rear plastic inside the hatch near the spare tire. There should be 4 big nuts, 2 on each side. They hold the bumper support, atleast on my 88 hatch it did. remove the screws on the wheel well holding the bumper and the bumper and support should come off as 1 whole piece. Make sure to unplug the lights for your tags. Then remove the screws on top holding the bumper to the support. Install same way you took it off.

I found the two inside the spare tire area but where are the other two?Cant find them..

i think the other 2 are under the car up where the bumper would bolt on too

Yup you were correct I am going to do a write up on it so that way in the future if this question is asked they could just look and read on how it is done. Thanks Guys! Look for the write up in a couple of days
