built head questions..

Default built head questions..

a friend of mine is selling his built h22a4 head w/ the following and 2500 miles on it:
Fererra Valves STD, Skunk2 retainers, Skunk2 Dual Valve Springs, AEM 3 point Cam Gears, and i believe a 3 angle valve job.

I was planning on dropping it on my stock block and adding a euro r intake manifold and hopefully a Mugen header if i can find another one..I currently have a DC header and apexi WSII exhaust

Questions:
1) Is this a good N/A setup?
2) Would i have to modify my block or would the stock block (87K) be fine?

Are you going to use stock cams? Yes the head will go on no problem. There is nothing to modify when installing the head it's pretty straight forward. But the condition of your bottom end only you know this. As far as drive ability it will drive the same also * going off the reasoning you didn't mention cams* Springs/retainers "should" not change the tune. But with a mugen header and euro-R intake manifold some sort of tuning device will only benefit.


F.Y.I I would add a decent set of cams in there while doing the head swap or it's pointless

opps forgot those, he has a set of skunk2 stage 1 cams he said he can throw in as well.. and i was definitly planning on getting a good tune from a local tuner.
