Default smoke from the exhaust and spark from valve cover grommet

hi guys,
i am getting smoke coming out of the exhaust and i'm not sure what's going on
the motor is a gsr block w an si head
The motor was just rebuilt by a reputable machine shop
it did this really heavily upon first startup and now just slightly
it has a kind of like burning plastic smell to it
For the rebuild all new gaskets were used

that's the best i can explain it

As for the spark I am getting spark from the valve cover grommet just above cylinder # 3 (Looking from the front to the back of the car)
I had checked grounds and added grounds seeing it in another post here but no help.... it is still sparking....

any help appreciated and thanks in advance

well this is where it's coming from so that was the best explanation i can give

has anyone encountered any of these problems?
if so how were your fixes.
I rarely post because i am usually able to just search on this forum for the information, but in this case i was not able to find any answers

the color of the smoke is whitish
and has this odor to it, kind of like burning plastic
i initially thought it was water/coolant
but my fluids did not lower at all

I do know my injectors need to be changed..... could it be unburned gas or simply running super rich?

and the spark plug wires are pretty old, we will change those and see if there are changes with the spark...

As i look closer the spark starts from under the grommet because i can see it glowing below it for a little bit before it goes out...
