ecsta spt wearing out fast, suspension related?
well i just failed my inspection for having bald ecsta spt tires in front after only 2 years / 17000 miles on them. whenever I go over speed bumps and such before when tread was decent and properly inflated, the car basically rattles crazily and makes loud thud. would the suspension be a cause for the tires wearing out so fast?

Tires wearing out very fast is generally an indication that your toe is off.
When was the last time the car had an alignment?
What were your alignment settings after the alignment?

In other words, you haven't had an alignment in 2 years. This could be the cause, especially with older suspension parts that don't always want to keep the alignment for very long.
And if you suspect that something in your suspension is wrong, jack up the car and check. On stands, if you try and move the wheel, any play will indicate bushing and/or other suspension issues. A very worn bushing won't hold your alignment, and you'll wear tires.
