Default problem with HIGH-END header fitment

ok heres the problem.

I HAD a LSvtec motor in my 95 integra.
95 gsr head with stock ls bottom end.
I was running a HIGH-END header and it fit perfectly.

Now I have a 2000 itr motor and the header do not close all the way.
WHAT i mean it is.. IT DOES NOT CLOSE to the HEAD.
i tight the bolts to the max, but the air is still coming out.

I'm nearly certain that the exhaust manifold pattern for all b-series engines is the same.

less air is coming out from the exhaust then it should because of the leak on the head.
should i just try to custom it by using longer bolts

Is the header warped? Did you replace the exhaust manifold gasket?

Did you replace the header gasket when you swapped it? If it's close, but not perfect, then there's a good chance that could be it. Otherwise, either your head or your headers are not true to original shape. How far away is the header from the head?

Before you go to the trouble, check what everyone has suggested. First off, the gasket, if it's not new, then replace it. If its really far away, then take the header off and see if it's bent or warped. Also check the head for the same. It almost has to be one of those three.

Also, I don't think longer bolts would solve your issue. Replace the gasket, and then get all of your bolts started and then tighten them a little at a time, alternating between bolts if it's a tight fit.

Also make sure you tighten your header bolts from the middle and work your way out.

Header fixed! The header flange was made to thick. it fit GSR heads because they sit higher than B16 heads. but a little shaving on the flange fix it.
