Default 2jz-ge turbo stuff

so i'm building a sc300 with a ge in it.

either way, i just bought my turbo. figured i would start a thread. that and i'll be building a prototype t4 top mount manifold in the next couple weeks. my personal manifold will be a bottom mount t6.

my turbo = s480, polished race cover, t6 1.10 a/r, 87mm turbine.

polished turbo next to it is a s366. bigger turbo at the end is a 4788r

Hi power 2j's on a good tune are remarkably drivable as long as you have an R154 or 6sp.

In most cases, 1200 is pointless for anything regarding the street. Its either for a local unlimited class, or for show. The only reason you'd need 1200 for the street is if you want an easy way to die

Seeing what you've made so far, I'm sure it will be worthy of show car status BTW there's a white SC300 from chicago on youtube/streetfire that you may have seen. Its rediculously fast, and its antilag sounds like a shotgun...

Are you really trying to argue the legitimacy of a hi-powered street car? I sure hope not.

i will be happy with 1300whp, but it would be nice to squeeze out a little more. thats going to depend on what kind of tranny i run. v160 probably won't take out too much, but if i opt for a power glide or th400, thats a different story.

i might just throw a r154 (which i already have) in and see what kind of abuse i can put that through before it pops.

this car isn't going to really be a street car. i'll drive it on the street every so often, but most likely i'll be doing burnouts for customers.

i'm more so building it for a shop car that we can take to the track every once and a while.

other benifit is a good test bed for some products. i'm planning on messing with backpressure and cam combos. there is a lot of research out there so far, however there isn't a lot on making big power efficently. i want to make impressive numbers for how much boost i'm running, not crazy boost and crazy power.

we'll see what happens.

i just got my turbine housing back today. looks awsome. my buddy jay coated it. pics are a little fuzzy.
