Default Will a Liberty/Phantom cuff work on a cable tranny?

Well, I royally jacked my second gear on my big spline cable b16 tranny. gearspeed said that the cable b16 is an obsolete transmission, and they dont carry parts for it.

so, i guess im gonna have to settle with a 93 integra ls tranny. the thing is, since my b16 was soo short, and the ls is soo long. the ls in 4th gear is only slightly shorter than the 5th gear in the b16. im thinking about just getting a cuff to hopefully help keep the tranny in working order as long as possible.

i just wanna know if a cuff designed for a hydro tranny will work and a cable transmission before i buy one?

the ys1 is a 92-93 gsr cable trans ?

to the OP. you can fit a hydro gearset inside the big spline cable case's.

yeah, ive heard that before, but most people want more money for a good hydro gearset, then what im paying for a complete good condition ls. trust me, id prefer to keep b16 gearing becuase of the mph/rpm gearing in 4th. but at this moment its just not an option.

the guy im going to buy the tranny from swears that all 92-93 integra transmissions are big spline. i guess ill find out tomorrow.

thanks for the help everyone.

They are...all ys1 LS/RS/GS or ys1 GSR are all big spline and accept hydro internals.
