I have 97 GSR and the other day it just died when I was driving it. Well, before it died, I tried putting on a o2 sensor to try to make the CEL go off since I didnt have one but it didnt anyways? Then I left and a couple of miles later, my car just died. I checked my plugs but they were still new. Then I checked for spark and I had no spark. So I replaced the ignitor and the coil and still nothin. Then I went and got a dew dizzy and still nothin. What else can I do or check? I tried checkin for codes but my CEL wouldnt even blink. Can it possibly be my ECU?

 

Same thing happend to me weeks ago. The mechanic replaced my whole distributor.

 

Did you replace the ignitor and coil with a known working unit?

How are you determining you don't have spark?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime?

I'd start with checking ground, all fuses, etc.

Then i would test the coil and ignitor to make sure they are working properly.
