Broken Rear View Mirror Stub Thingie???
That damn metal piece of crap on the windshield that holds the rear view mirror broke...... i called up honda and they told me it was part of the windshield basically implying that i needed a new windshield to fix the problem.... i found that zip ties are a good TEMPORARY holder to keep my mirror on the windshield but i think honda full of crap anyone know if i can just buy that one piece or if i really do need to replace my windshield to fix the problem? thanks in advance.....

what do you mean is broken? the grey metal piece that connects to the window is in two pieces, or the arm that holds the mirror up. either way as long as your glass is in perfect condition there is no reason to get a new windshield, but if the glass is in any way damaged you'll need a new one.
I had a rear view mirror break off on me before, I just got a kit from Kragen and reattatched it, just a simple process, but if any parts are broken into pieces you'll need to replace them

I remember getting one of them thingies at pep boys along with a tube of glue. It wasn't exactly the same but it held. Did it break or just come unglued?
The metal piece attached to the windshield broke... one of those rails. i appreciate all of your help.. thanks alot.
