From the info you gave your problem could range from normal to excessively burning oil.

How long does it take to cover the muffler tip after cleaning? How much oil does it burn between changes?

Default FV-QR

Black smoke is either oil or ridiculously rich, or a mixture of the two evils. How many miles are on the car? How is the compression (I.e rings???)?

normally when i change the oil every 3000 miles or so it takes up to the last 1000 miles to really black up the muff tip and bumper!!!!thats when my gauges light up sayin that it needs oil!!!!!!!!!!!
