I drive a 90 crx si. Right now its being built to be fast. Today, when i was out enjoying the beautiful evening in my ride, a local guy from my neighborhood pulled up next to me in his phoneix yellow itr,gave me the thumbs up and countinued to cruise around with me in his car for the remainder of the night.We stopped off and talked for a while and i was completely amazed by his car. I cant tell you how much i have always wanted one of these cars. I just wanted to let you all know how lucky you are to have one of these pieces of history. And of course i wanted to say how cool all of you itr owners are....havent met an ******* yet. Anyhow just felt the need to say that.peace all. Ryan.

Anyhow the point of that story was to make someone or anyone realize that as corny as it sounds, fellow honda/acura drivers have some sort of bond.....i swear. I figured it might be a bit uplifting, ya know, make you want to go out and plant a tree or something...

 

Sorry, most of the hondas around me either rev on me or try to race me. Go figure.

 

I wish the whole import community shared that "bond."
Maybe the streets would be a little safer with the shared knowledge...

I wish I could see this more. Sounds like you don't have any RICERS in your area. The only place I seem to find the "bond" is here on h-t..

 

most people hate on your nice ride because they are bitter because they have pieces of ***** that can't match up to the person they're hating on. but thas coo that the itr owner was a coo guy. whenever i see a ricer i am quick to judge i'll admit, only becuase most of the ricers hate.

 

i always give thumbs up to people in clean cars(no altezzas) if they are civilized(no revving)... i find that all people who appreciate cars share this bond, not import owners, i think i made some guys day one time when he tried to race me in an old pickup and at the light when i was waiting he went by to turn in the other lane and i gave him a thumbs up... first his expression was like hella pissed and he like stopped and glared at me, i'll assume he thought i was giving him the finger, but when he saw the he just got this huge silly grin on his face and returned the to me, funny to see anger turn to amazement to happiness in the space of a second or two... even when chances are they won't see me do it i'll toss a fellow enthusiast a , it's the thought that counts u know... remember itr drivers aren't ********; ******** are ********, their car has nothing to do with it. -rob

I'm pretty much the only ITR in my town and the surrounding ones. I meet a few occasional cool, real import enthusiasts, but the majority are ricey hot stunnaz. They have no respect and can only rev and give hard looks. Last night a stunna was revvin on me hard, sayin come on lets do this. The funny thing was we were in bumper to bumper traffic. I was hoping his foot would slip off the clutch and he would slam his POS civic into the BMW in front of him but it didn't happen. Where the hell are all the real Honda people in Illinois?
