i have a friend that owns a body shop and has a wrecked crv with a k24 automatic he wants to sell the motor for cheap so my question is can i get a rsx type s manual transmission and put it on the k24 or it cannot be done. please let me know cause is a pretty good deal and also how much do you think it takes to get a k series on a crx to make it run . including mods in mounts and everything?????
you would have to cut hood to clear an k-series with a stock hood. i say if money isn't an option go for it. you you actually spend some scripts to put a k-series in an ef. but if you look in all the right places and try to find some deals then it can be a budget k-series build. i say if its cheap go for it.
Yes a rsx-s (k20a2) tranny can bolt up to a k24. Your going to have to either get a JDM style hood and cut the webbing or just cut the crap out of your stock hood. Enjoy the torque

mounts from HASport are 750 new.
You need Kpro to remove the immobilzer from the ECU which is 900 something.
Axles from a base rsx.
You'll have to fabricate a way to run your shift cables. Karcepts sells a kit for EG's that EF owners modify to fit. That kit is around 200 I want to say.
There are other small things that I'm missing, but it's an expensive swap. If your getting the motor for cheap though, it will cut down your costs.
Search, check the FAQ, and http://www.k20a.org
