I carry a trunk load of **** in my del sol. The rear sits lower than the front.

I would like to have stiffer springs, but without lowering the car. It has original springs front and rear.

The only purpose for the spring change would be so the car can carry a load in the trunk and still ride level.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

 

well i'ver really heard of someone wanting this, but here is a idea because i dont really know where you can get just stiffer oem height springs. Get ebay coilovers and with some tall perches and raise it all the way up. Thats all i can think of.

 

i've never seen it done on a honda...seen it done on a 4runner though...i figure it would help the springs from compressing, which might solve your problem, but the rx-7's the old school ones 80's, on the rear springs there's 1 or 2 adjustable spacers that goes between the springs...i'm guessing u install it and it'll keep a section of the spring from compressing which should help your springs to stay stiffer and the same height when you unload all the weight out of the trunk, so your car doesn't look funny...oh yea and there's plenty of those at pick-n-pull...hope that helps

 

they have spring helpers you can sqeeze between the coils to stiffen them ant your local autoparts store.

HAHAH when my buddy i and put on my coil overs he adjusted them the wrong way .... when i got them all on, the car was so high it was ready for glamis lol. So ya in theory it should work

 

Rear springs from a similar vintage civic sedan 4 door will do what you need, they are heavier to carry a load of 4 people, where the del sols springs are lighter (2 door 2 people)
