so im gettin ready to redo my suspension set up and raise the teg up from where its at now. i know when i take out the struts and springs, the bushings are gonna fall apart in the control arms. so im thinking im gonna order new bushings so i have them ready to go, no unnecessary surprises. probably replace the strut mounts as well as most of the suspension parts have about 153K miles on them. the energy suspension kit provides everything i need pretty cheap. however after searching i seen people say they last all of about 2 years, or the squeak like crazy. i have a feeling that if i replace the control arm bushings with something that is prone to squeaking, just from their designed use they'll never shut up. and oem parts are about 2-3 times as much. is there anything in the middle? what does HT suggest?
Pick up a set of SKUNK 2 lca's.
I'm currently using red anodized blox lca's.. there are rumors of people having issues with there bushing, but i've used mine for 7+ months with 0 problems.

eh i really dont wanna put that much money into this. i'm basically done modifying this car, which is why its going back up to stock height. i really would like to just do the bushings and not the whole control arms, especially since the front and rears are about shot
Hey donteisme, ive done a litlte lookign around recently and from what i can see use OEM or Energy Susupension. For ball joints go with Dana and stay away from Moog for all bushings Not what they used to be from what i hear.
So:
OEM where you can, DANA (Sold at NAPA) or Energy Suspension. (I've heard from a few guys that race that they oval out and make noise but almost everyone else says they have had no problems at all so if your just using fro street should be good to go.)
Hope that helps.
Im gonna use OEM where I can afford to and DANA for ball joints.
Got any links on the best way to press them yourself?
