First you gotta be like D and take off your shirt....it helps the sweat bead off your back better and stick to the nice cold cement...

Now, to totally be like D, you have to never wash your ARRRR....

Back to the install....remove the old cat or in my case, testpipe....

Continue to do nothing and watch D do all the work

Continue to watch D install in the new Carsound Cat courtesy of IPS Racing.

Once the cat is successfully installed, reset the ECU.

And always have the cops show up for support!!

Almost forgot, drink lots of these....

Thanks D (Matt) for the help!!

Did you get any clearance issues with the O2 sensor on the cat hitting against the shift linkages?
its not necessary as your engine will not blow up...but why not? i always reset ecu after installing any part on my car...even my seats

It could make a difference when the exhaust flow changes. It's for letting the ECU create new secondary variables which are stored in RAM.

Light American beer, you can drink like 10 or 12 and still not be drunk, plus they come in 40s....we had to set the ECU because I was running a testpipe w/ a complimentary check engine light for almost 40,000 miles. I was getting use to seeing the light everyday. It's not the same without a check engine light.
I find all my installs go faster when a shirtless D is doing all the work...i think it's like his super-power or something.
carsound cat. Did he use KY on the exhaust this time?
