Default conflicting info - ARP rod bolts for LS and B20B

just need a firm confirmation from somone who has used ARP rod bolts in either a LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC

what rod bolts did you use?

the 8mm ones, 208-6001? or the 9mm GSR ones, 208-6401?

also - is there any machineing necessary on the rod caps?

thanks for any info,

t..

Default Re: conflicting info - ARP rod bolts for LS and B20B (tinkerbell)

ls/crv rods use arp 208-6001 (8mm)
B series w/ vtec use arp 208-6401 (9mm)

as for machining, yes the rods will most likely need to be resize/rehone because of the increase torque for the arp rod bolts which will create more bearing crush and may cause the big end of the rod to be out of round if not resized. as for clearencing the area for the head of the bolt the ls/crv rods will not need it, i'm not sure about the vtec rods though
