Default question about window motors/regulators....

94 sedan.
my front driver window motor is going out. I believe. It'll roll down, although slower than the others and when the window is lower than about half way down it will not roll back up on its own. I sometimes have to pull up on the window while holding the switch.

My question is, are all the motors for all the windows/doors the same? I was thinkin maybe taking one out of the back, seeing as nobody really rides with me.

TIA

check glass seals. they are rubber strips on the windows rails on either sides of the glass. sometimes they slip off and prevent glass from moving freely.

check this first before you blame the motor

For a quick fix spray some wd40, or silicon spray in the window channels. It will make the move easier.
