Hey well im a noob i tried to use the search feature but oculdnt find anything pretaining to this so i thought id post possibly get fmaled and hopefylly get an answer anyhow a friend of mine said he would sell me a 88 integra LS w/ 200k miles on it for 500 bucks. the thing is he says it runs but it burns oil. it will probably need a rebuild soon too. do you think this is a good idea to buy it? I just want a cheap car to practice stick on. up to this point ive driven stricly automatic. ive taken some stick cars out with them but i still have some problems working the clutch. so i figure if im gonjna mess a car up ill mess up a $500 car. anyhow how much do you think it would cost to make it stop burning oil? assuming i could get the owrk done myself. i have a lot of friends who are into tuning so they could probably help me wiht it if i got th eright parts. anyhowthanks ofr your input.

 

bah, just buy it, and run it into the ground -- forget about fixing the burning oil problem.

remember, it's just a $500 car.

 

is it possible to do a motor swap in it eventually? id like to put a b18 or b16 in it or something a little more powreful. thanks.

EDIT - how much would it cost all said and done if possible for each engine?
