Default How much would you pay for this? or think its actually worth?

It is a 1994 Civic CX has a little over 90,000 miles and has no major mechanical issues just small cosmetic damage (rust) from living in Buffalo NY snowy, cold and alot of rock salt is used during the winter months. How much would you pay for this Civic in this condition? Be serious and let me know your honest opinion.

750-950... That rust is cancerous especially in those areas. Are you looking at buying it or selling it??

750 is unreasonable. In all fairness, I would say that depending on where you were geographically,, anywhere from between $2500.00 to $3500.00.

It's still a viable piece of decent transportation in fair shape. Enjoy the MPG.

Thanks COOKIE thats more of what I thought it was worth. The MPG are GREAT, I swear even with the gas prices around here averaging 4.05/g I love driving around just for the hell of it in this car because it goes forever before I need gas again. LOL

Thats about what I would say with the cancer on the side...

I would run, and run fast from that car before it deteriorates further and isn't worth anything. Unless you plan on keeping it until it dies... Then I would work on at least trying to do something to stop the rust from spreading (its like cancer though, it's persistent and it grows).

If you got it for around 1.5k you did alright, anything below, you did great. I'm from near Buffalo and I did a LOT (3 months) of searching before I found my car. Most of the hondas here are overpriced and its tough to get a good deal on one.

I live in the Seattle area. And sale prices are really depicted by geographical locations.

A car that gives great mileage in a larger metropolitan area, regardless of overall condition (granted; appearance & shape DO make a difference in collective price), are valued more,,, than if you lived in ratted out Detroit Michigan or some other hole.

Bottom line is don't tell the naysayers how much you paid for your ride,, the only time it matter is if you are going to sell it.

I told a couple of guys how much I paid for my '93 Si, once,, they were like, "WHAT?!" "You were RIPPED!" But, the truth is that THAT is how much is was right off the truck with zero miles,,, Oct 1992. Two people were fired over the deal I worked that day! That was a good day for all. Three people went in new directions!

FOGGED, I did great!! What part of buffalo do you live? I am in the West Side.

Anywho, I am going to get it all fixed up eventually, so that is something that is on my mind. I know it is very fixable so I am taking it easy because I have a 1996 Civic EX that I am quietly working on.

Just curious on if I needed to sell it how much could I actually ask for/get.

I wouldnt have said more than $1000 - dont mean to be nasty but here a car with rust as far on as yours would be worth very little, mine was roughly $1100 and had next to no rust when i bought it, it had slightly higher mileage though

Nice! I'm actually in Lockport... its the big dump about 25 mins north of you.

And if you guys think thats a lot of rust, you probably don't live in a cold area, or at least not one that uses salt on the roads. That rust isn't that bad looking compared to a lot of the rotboxes in this area. You'll pay more for a rusted out honda here than you would for a mint one down south. Even with that body, I'll bet he could sell that car here for 2k or more if he waited for the right buyer.

meaning how many more?

Here in Buffalo, I think you would laugh your a$$ off at what people try to sell and what they actually get for junky *** cars with 2xx,xxx miles and rust, different colored panels and crap.

For example a very good friend of mine bought a 1995 Honda Accord with the odo reading 249,000, broken windshiled, hood wouldnt close, broken radio console with no radio, different tires all the way around, the rear bumper almost falling off because the rust was just incredibly fudged all the way around, dirty a$$ inside, broken exhaust from beggining to end and he paid $1500.00 cash. Now you tell me would you pay $1500.00 for that Accord or would you pay the $2500.00 to $3000.00 for my Civic?

There is a very big demand for Civic's or Honda's in general so im sure it must be a geographical thing.

One of my team members lives in Lockport.

100% true to the tee (not about lockport though), like I said and someone else said, it is a geographical thing.

All this damn salt and fudged up weather doesnt help a damn thing when it comes to your car, no matter the year.

In Little Saigon area these things go for $3k to $5k. Because of their gas mileage for normal people and lightweight for racer.

I live near syracuse NY, we use salt here and buffalo gets more snow then we do so obviously they use more salt, if that car isnt undercoated you dont even want to waste your time and money. expect to shell out minimum of 2g's

Mine was just over 100k miles when i bought it - same colour, very minimal rust, electrics, oem alloys, full service history etc etc

See a lot of similar cars for sale here for about £500 which is roughly $1000

To repair rust like that is at least 2 new quarters, plus all the fab. work for the inner arches etc too, If you can get more where you live then thats great but i wouldnt pay a lot for your car, sorry
