Default stripping paint from LIP...

sup everyone, i just got my itr lip..( that shiet was a bitch to find). well any ways, i want to strip the paint off it and just leave it polyurethane..any tips on how to strip the paint of this succa..??? any/all advice is apprecieated..thanks..peace

I would wet sand it completely using 1000 grit paper and a backing plate.

Edit: I'm so damn tired I keep having to edit my posts. Anyways, I'd then suggest using 2000 grit paper to make sure the lip is smooth before painting again.
