I think that besides the original VTEC, the one that is better than I-VTEC is VTEC-E. the way Honda was able to engineer the 3-stage VTEC is amazing. its the runt of the three V's, but the definiton of function.

if you want some interesting stuff go to hondas website and look at their automotive vids, at the i-vtec-i and the diesel engine.
