I need your guidance on selecting shocks/coilovers
I have a 96 Civic EX, and I am looking to get new struts and coilovers. Can anyone guide me in the right direction as to what EXACT combo I should get? I have a budget of $500.00 and I would like them to be yellow if possible. Please include link to product with post.
*Also, if I need a camber kit, can you also guide me there* Thanks!

Crap. I know this is a little over budget, but a vaaaaaast majority use the Koni Yellow shock / Ground Control spring setup. But, just the springs alone will be $300, and the Koni Yellows will be $500 by itself, ruling out the standard.
I'm going to watch this thread, as I'm interested in budget suspension as well.

welll the only yellow struts i can recommend are koni yellows w/ ground control coilovers. the problem is that will run you up around 700-800 bucks. best setup i can think of for the money... also will be yellow like you want lol. other then that i would save up some more $$$ and get the good stuff... dont go cheap
ok so lets just say they dont have to be yellow? They can be any color BUT they have to fall under budget my of $500.00 shipped. Does Megan make them? I have a few things in my car currently that are Megan and I wouldnt mind matching it all up.
It sounds like you want to run an aftermarket suspension with close to stock struts then? I'm not going to lie, you're suspension budget eliminates a lot of the tried and true suspension combinations. I doubt you're going to be very happy with a sub $500 suspension set up.

+1.
I'll second the ground control sleeve-overs. I'm running them with tokico blues right now and they're AWESOME
and fwiw, tokico blues might be more in your budget.
Being specific on the suspension color=fail. Nobody's gonna see it tucked behind the wheels anyways.....suspension= function over form.

To stay withing your budget I would go with KYB GR2's for the struts and then go with Sprint lowering Springs, should fall within your budget or a little higher but not by much maybe a 100$ if that. A friend has that set up on his teg and it's a nice ride.

i was wondering how do these aftermarket shocks last? a month a year? i mean if im going to pay 400 bucks everytime to get new shocks why not go with the cheap ones from auto zone that have a lifetime warrenty? can someone shed some light on this for? i mean do you guys really spend that much everytime your shocks go out?
well umm. thats really on you.. you can either buy from brand name thats well known for their product, plus pay a bit more OR!!! go with typical ones from autozone that who really knows how they are.. just keep in mind!. you pay what you get!!..
alot of aftermarket shocks does last pretty long and most of the time they do have limited warranty's when you bug eM.

I was recently sent a link to some KYB GR2's on Ebay and they were 500 with shipping included. they look good and I have heard nothing bad about this brand. They were actually a shock/coilover combo. I would like to find something along those lines again but they were not relisted or even available any longer.
