best recommanded gauges for turbo
like what brand or what type? i would say water temp, boost, wideband, oil temp. i personally have all except the oil temp, running 1 aem serial data gauge.

ok, well check my post, i listed a few

I have found for starters that Boost/EGT/Oil Pressure are the most important ones to have. Air fuel is alright and all, but doesn't do any good if you're not tuning the car yourself, or your tuner doesn't have the appropriate hardware to tune Air fuel.

Air Fuel is very important in my book. Nice gauge to have incase you got some bad gas. or your spark plugs are fouling out. Different Weather conditions (even tho this should be corrected with the EMS) But sometimes ECU's fail or something happens.
Also EGT's i dont think are that great cause some say X degrees should be normal but not every engine runs the same. some engines like to run higher EGT's some like Low EGT's I honestly feel this gauge is not nessacary
Air Fuel
Oil Press
Oil Temp (Nice to Have)
Fuel Press (Nice to have helps with Diagnosing Start up or Fuel pump failures that tend to happen)

I'm running boost, EGT, oil pressure, wideband, oil temp, and water temp. Boost you need for obvious reasons. EGT is nice just to keep an eye on, although making sense of EGT readings can be tricky so their overall effectiveness can suffer. Oil pressure is important because not only is oil the lifeblood of a turbo, but it's also the lifeblood of your entire engine. Any number of things can cause a drop in oil pressure, and if one occurs, you need to know about it ASAP to prevent catastrophic failure of engine/turbo parts. Wideband is obviously needed if you're doing the tuning yourself but will also alert you of a sudden lean condition or abnormal fueling(clogged injectors, bad gas, etc). Oil temp is nice just to keep an eye on. If you run consistently high oil temps, you might want to consider an oil cooler.
Water temp in my mind is very important with a boosted setup and often overlooked. Fan motors can die, fuses can blow, thermoswitches can fail, coolant lines can burst, and overheating can occur very suddenly and cause substantial damage. Relying on the dash water temp gauge isn't a good idea since you'll probably be about 10-30degrees C over normal by the time the dash gauge rises to the middle of its sweep. With a quality aftermarket water temp gauge, you can spot higher-than-normal temps early and react sooner(by turning on the heater to cool the system or shutting the system down) and prevent damage.
