Front lower shock bolt doesnt line up, new subframe, and energy bushings
I have a 00 civic si. I just replaced the subframe in the car, with a brand new one from honda, and i also just installed energy suspension bushing from honda. Everyhing was going smooth till went to install my shocks, and the wishbone bolt doesnt line up. It is about a 1/8 on one side, and a 1/4" on the other side to high to go through the lower shock wish bone. I have all subframe bolts loost sliding it around, the upper shock bolts, and i cannot get anything to work. This car was never in a accident and the old subrame was not physiclly dammaged. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wronge. I am about to try and get ahold of some no SI control arms and install them incase the got bent from install the bushings... but i dont think i put to much for into them. Thanks for any input. also the coilovers are in good shape.... and arent bent
I use a jack to push up on the control arm, then stick a screwdriver in on one side to line up the holes to put in the bolt (in on the other side).
it always used to slide in though..... ill try it just dont want to bind any suspension up
