Help on this crxwith a 1994 vtec swap PLEASE REPLY
engine 1.6 vtec . Its a 1994 d15b. Head #b30202065. Got this car from a kid, car was in pieces. Cant get it to run. Wanted to make sure that the computer is the right one with this engine. Can someone give me the # for the correct computer? I looked on the chart in FAQs and of course I cannot find a computer part # Also, does anyone know which distributor goes with this engine? Thanks guys. I know nothing about non Small Block Chevys but I think with the right info I can learn, and get this car running. Its a 1990 crx and a 1994 civic engine. Is there any info on this swap? If so, what gen is my crx and what gen. is a 1994 civic?

well if its an obd-1 v-tec engine....then your ecu should be a p28(its on the side lable of ecu) a p-28 ecu is for an obd-1 vtec motor (which should be a d16z6).....so someone swapped out (engine) heads (because you dont have the original head...if you really have a 1.6 v-tec)
if the engine code is D15B (no number after the B), the engine is a JDM SOHC VTEC engine and the correct ECU for it is P08 and the correct distributor is TD42U
A JDM D15B VTEC uses a P08 ecu and a TD-42U distributor. A P28 ecu will work but is a little different in the fuel mapping. Your '90 CRX is a 2nd generation. The P28 uses a 4 wire O2 sensor and the P08 uses a 1 wire O2 sensor.
