anyone have an updated "removing cruise control" instruction
For which gen?
It took 5 mins for the 5th gen. removal in mine. Two bolts, a cable clip, and a screw in the vacum hose.

it's super simple for 4th gen too
1 unhook cable from accelerator pedal
2 unplug the cruise actuator
3 remove/cap vacuum lines
4 unbolt actuator from bay

after removing my cruise control. the hoses from the cruise connected to this black box. what is it? should it also be removed? I capped it with a vacuum cap(white cap)
The black box is part of the EVAP system you need to keep it if not you'll throw a code. You could take it out if you run your car OBD1
