Took my front passenger seat out of my 97 Civic hatch to clean today and now the left rear bolt won't go back in. I'm not sure if the bolt's stripped or what but for some reason it won't go in. I can get it started but only for a couple threads. It has some lock-tite gunk on it, think that has something to do with it??? Help!

put it on as far as it goes and leave it..just make sure you tighten the other ones real snug and it wont go anywhere...it probally had to do with the locktight....if your determened, use a fine wire brush and scrap it all off

 

Have you tried gently tightening it up with a ratchet? Or just by hand

Mine had some sort of red lock tight stuff on there but I just bravely tightened it up and it's been fine ever since!

 

I tried tightening it by hand and by ratchet and it wouldn't do anything. I think I'll take a wire brush to it and get the lock-tite off then see what happens. Thanks.
