Default Power grounds with deleted main relay (PG1 PG2)?

I deleted the main relay in a 90 CRX Si (OBD1 jumper with stock P28, added switchboard). Going by the Helms manual, IG1 sends power to the main relay tripping a relay inside of it, then exits the main relay and connects with PG1 and PG2 wires, from there it goes to the thermostat ground and another location (labeled only by a letter in a square). I checked between the PG1 and PG2 pins and thermo ground and the circuit is good. Since I deleted the main relay, do I leave it as is, or do I need to send power from the main switch on the switchboard to connect with the PG1 and PG2 wires? Connecting the main switch and PG1 and PG2 doesn't make much sense but I figured I'd ask before possibly creating a short and causing a mess.
