Default Long Term Storage...

I am going to be leaving the country for a year soon and if I can't sell my bikes I am going to need to store them so I wanted some input from the /26 crowd. I've stored bikes before but only for a few months so this is kinda new to me. With prior storage all I did was drain the gas tank completely and the bowl on the carb. Should I do anything additionally for my bikes and is there anything special I should do with the F4i?

TIA

put the bikes up on stands, check tire pressures, and keep them where they should be.

Put sta-bil in the gas tanks, and then start the bikes so it gets into the injectors/lines.

if carbed, drain the gas from the floats.

also, you can pull the plugs, and put a little marvel mystery oil in each cylinder.

Clean, and then lube the chains very well to pervent rust, and keep a nice cover on them.

and don't forget to put a battery tender on there to keep the battery good.
