What defines the need for the injector resistor box?
What defines the need for the injector resistor box? I'm trying to put a 96 B18b into my 1990 Civic DX, and I'm not sure if I need the box or not. Is it required because I'm running obd0 ECU and Dizzy or is it not required because I'm using the stock obd2 injectors that came on my motor?
the need for a resistor box is governed by the actual electrical resistance of the injectors. since you are using obd2 injectors, you can run without a resistor box, because the injectors are already high impedance.
obd1 and 2 injectors are both high impedance, while the obd0 injectors are low impedance.
the resistor box is only needed on low impedance injectors.
The other option you have is to use the stock OBD0 injectors on your obd 2 motor, and just leave the resistor box as it is. that would eliminate the need to change the resitor box and the injector clips..

if im not mistaken you can use your stock injectors as long as you keep the resistor box there. is that right?
If you do decide to delete the injector resistor box, all u need to do is somehow connect all five of the wires that go into the resistor box plug. just solder them together or rywire has a plug you can use that does it neat and clean.
