OBD-II to OBD-I conversion.
I own a 5th gen type-sh. i searched and read all the threads for conversions. my plan is to convert to OBD-1 and chip a p28. Now i see in every thread the OBD-I dizzy is a must. but in some threads i see you also need OBD-I injectors and resistor box. My question is, are the resistor box and injectors neccessary and if not whats the differnce of not having them, how will it affect the car? thanks
well i also saw it said i could rewire my OBD-II distributor, but i think i rather just buy an OBD-I. unless your saying it is not necessary?

Also, i believe my knock sensor is messing up because sometime it sounds like a harley and back fires at idle like it if were choking, and it hesitates from 2-3k rpm like if i were on a bumpy road. it use to throw a misfire C/L but that went away on it own. so i know its a sensor. but ive seen the knock sensor for like $150. if i go over to obd-1 will the knock not be necessary anymore? i was told it would no longer be necassary and my car would run good? true or false?
