Muffler Size does it Matter???
I have search and could not find the answer that I am looking for.
95 Accord EX Sedan
My stock muffler is old and rusty and I am in the market for a new one, I do not really have the $$$ to spend on a brand name muffler.
So here goes I went to my LMS and ask them how much for a standard universal muffler, the guy said $70 installed! Fine can I see the muffler, the muffler he showed me is much smaller than the stock one but it is the same length. Upon asking him will I see similar performance and hes like I dont know what to say and hes like guessing, So I told him let me get back to you.
I really drive long distance to work 100 miles each day and I do not want to lose the mileage or make some noise.
Now will size matter, or should I look for the same setup as the stock one? I have a dual tip and the one at the shop has single. what about back pressure?
Thanks

Size Does Matter, at least that's what she told me
LOL
All kidding aside, it is a matter of flow and I doubt that the aftermarket unit would cause any problems at all.
It might have one less baffle to keep the same flow rate, yet not make your car sound like a pissed off bumble bee.
