V6 engine spied. That's a solid solid hp # for a base version. The top end V8 should be a couple more hundred hp's then.

I'm guessing not. Look for either a 360+hp L76 (used in the G8 GT) or a 400+hp LS3 (from the Vette/G8 GXP).
The LS7 is too expensive, and the LS9/LSA (supercharged 6.2) would be too powerful and would probably cut into Vette sales.
