91 civic dx running problems
So i bought a hatch dx about a month and a half ago and about two weeks ago it stopped running. When you turn the key to start it, it acts like it wants to fire but doesn't seem to be getting fuel. The fuel pump turns on and the throtle body is getting gas. I replaced both injectors and still car wont stay running. If i dump gas down the top of the throttle body it will start briefly and then die out. if it does run it runs well and has no problems. But that takes me dumping a large amount of gas down the top ofthe throttle body. If you have any ideas or have ran into this before any suggestions are welcome. thanks
Check your main relay:
Turn the ignition to "II", the check engine light should come on for a second or so and you'll hear the fuel pump whirring. You should hear a click coming from the driver's footwell as the engine light goes off.
If you don't hear the click, take off your main relay and inspect the solder points on it. This is a common failure point in older Hondas.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, search "main relay" and you'll get all the info you need. Good luck.
