Another Battery Light issue
1991 Honda accord LX.
Ok, I installed a New Batter & New alternator. Battery light still on, the car died the other day. Took it to Autozone, they said the battery was low so they charged it up for me. Then install the battery, car started up, yet Battery light is still on. Any clues?

Probably the JUNK reman aftermarket Alt.
Throw a meter across the battery cables and you should see 14V+ just after an engine start, and at least a constant 13.5V after that.
True Story; I had a customer that did not want me to install a new brush set in his original ALT. Claimed he was afraid of the age of the ALT, and was going to get a reman from the parts store.
I told him right up front I wouldn't warranty the labor if he got a bad unit; 4 installs and trips to the parts store later, he finally got a unit that worked.
I've said this 100 times; You are better off with a salvage yard ALT than to get a reman from the parts house.

Ok. Ran test on it, figures to be bad Alternator. Replaced it. Ran well for the day after it was fix. Next day, no power on. No beeping noise when you put key in. Not even a click. No engine electric worked what so ever. Tried jumping the car.... once jumped, the car ran but whenever I turn it off.... boom same issue. No power source... will not start. The Battery is weeks old. Any help?
