Default What is wrong? Why is it doing this?

I have a 91 civic si hatch with a jdm b16. I bought the car back from the same guy i sold it to and he told me theres a knot in the tire. I drove it and realized immediately thats theres not a a knot in the tire. The car was vibrating violently shaking the whole dash and all. I replaced the axles and wheel bearings all the way around. Still does it but not as bad. It shakes on the passenger side when accelerating and hit small dips and also when i turn to the right. Ball joints are also new. Can someone help me out?

how are the tie rods? Try taking it to a shop and have that tire balanced and see if the rim is bent/warped and check for tire separation.

Were the bearings making noise at all before you decided to replace them? Make sure the front end is tight as well, any loose suspension/steering components will cause the symptom you described.

I put a different set of wheels on it and checked everything on it. Still does the same thing. I took it to the shop yesterday and had everything check and everythings ok. They put new wheel bearings in and they told me one of them got hot and welded itself in. How the car was driving? No clue

wheel bearings are fine . only does the vibration on acceleration only. when you turn to the right makes noise. im putting a new axle in 91 integra non abs. when i got the car it was coming from both sides. i replaced both axles cause they was wrong. now only doing it from the passenger side. ys1 tranny stock si hubs did take the ring out when i did the swap tie rods are fine motor mounts are tight.

Do you know for 100% that the half-shaft is a YS-1? If you have a Y1 half-shaft then the axles would be slightly too long. I had this problem before and it caused the tire to bounce and almost hop driving down the road...
Also if it has a camber kit check to make sure all of the bolts are tight.

I had a half shaft go out and it vibrated when I hit a bump, take it off and check for excessive play in the bearring.

its prolly piece of rust that fell inside the rotor causing it to be cricket and make the car shake ..when stoping or ...or prolly motor over flooded with oil leaks

i bought a complete jdm b16 swap for a 91 si. I sold the car to a dumbshit. I have recently purchased the vehicle back. He put a ys1 tranny in it. What half shaft would come with a complete jdm b16 swap and what axles would go with a jdm b16 half shaft with a ys1 tranny. Thank you for all your help in my time of need.

Some of the 89-91 B16A's came with the Y1 tranny which means that no usdm axles will work with that half shaft. If you swap in the ys1 half shaft then you can use any 90-93 integra axles abs or non, it does not matter.

If he changed the tranny and kept the old half shaft than that would be the problem if the old one was in fact a y1 half shaft.

The stock si never came with a half shaft.
