Default What cams and header for me?

Setup:

B18C1 Block
CTR Pistons
Stock Rods, Resized with ARP bolts
ACL Bearings
OEM Rings

B18C1 Head
Ported by Portflow
Portflow springs, retainers
Ferrea valves
Skunk2 intake manifold

Currently I have a set of BCIII's in my garage, Mazworx V1 turbo cams, GSR cams. I also have a eBay 2.5" Header.
Should I use any of that? Car is a 00 Si, needs to keep A/C and P/S. I almost ordered a big tube hi-tech replica but that probably would not clear with A/C, will the small tube? Should I pick up like a set of Pro2's or something?

i would go with a Blox B or Skunk2 stage 2 cams with your setup. for the header, i'd use the RMF narrow style to accomodate the AC. i would also consider upgrading the stock fuel pump and injectors just to make sure you don't lean out the motor. you have a nice flowing cylinder head with lots of air going through it, try to bump up the fuel pressure as well with a B&M or AEM fuel pressure regulator. a fuel pressure gauge and oil pressure gauge can't hurt either.

hope that helps out

Don't buy replica's and support the ************* that can't come up with their own design.

M22x or Pro1 cams and Toda header or SMSP....game over.

Will the Toda or SMSP fit with the A/C? I know the eBay 2.5" ITR style one does.

You dont think I should go bigger cam then a pro1 with the compression I am running? It should be 12.5+ i may pick up a thicker heradgasket to lower it a hair

I have a Walbro 255HP in the car already. I will tune with Crome Pro. What size injectors, 310's or bigger?

pictures? small tube or big?

Yeah I would like to bump it down too lower 12:1 if possible, any ideas on a headgasket size to lower it? We have 93 octane everywhere, I hate to run hardly any timing in the engine but if thats what I have to do...

So I guess that because I don't believe in copying someone else's hard work and making $$ off it, then that doesn't make me an "American?"

Compression doesn't dictate what cams you run, cylinder head/intake/header/and displacement play much larger rolls in what cams would work best. Sure you could try Pro2's or M24x's, but I wouldn't say they are going to be guarenteed results. Where as the Pro1's or M22x's would without a doubt rip in that motor. Your HG is fine, don't lower your c/r.

Why not? Whichever camshaft he chooses will bleed off compression right? He'll be fine tuned using pump gas.

I like you clean rice Not often do I say that about H-T people either ha

Header is going to be a tuff decision for me, I just had this stuff laying around so I figured I would sell it, I used to run in SFWD but too many low 9 second cars out there (thats why I have the head) I am just trying to toss something together that would get me a nice low 14 second car that I can drive every day. I really dont want to invest more money in parts that I do not have, but if I am going to see some good gains for reasonable money I will just jump on it now so I dont have to do something twice.

Yeah, you're gonna be in the 13 second range for sure unless you put your grandma behind the wheel....she might click off a 14 flat

hahaha I let my grandma drive a 88 Fiero that I swapped a Caddy Northstar into like 6 years ago, she left my driveway sideways lol She probably can drive as good as me ha. If I broke into the 13's i would be more then happy with it. a 14.1 or so would put enough of a smile on my face for this thing.

Back onto fuel pressure, someone said to raise it... Should I raise it or is that just so I can use a smaller injector?

Don't bother with a fpr if you're having it tuned. If you want a fpr though, do NOT buy a B&M. AEM is much better.
