Default ES Hyper flex bushing kit install

It's been a long time since I've been in here so I'll make this breif.

I just ordered a ES hyper flex bushing kit to replace all the worn bushings in my ancient EK. I've never done one of these before, so if any of you have any words of wisdom (that aren't pay somebody else to do it) or any insight on what kind of tools I'll need, I'd appreciate the help.

Also picked up some koni yellows and GCs finally, but I know how to replace all that.

if yoiu have access to a press that would be ideal to push out the old bearings.

if not there are 2 way I have done it before.

use a drill with a semi small bit, and drill between the metal sleeve and where the bolt goes through the bushing. go all the way around so you can grab the center and pull it out

-or-

burn out the rubber part to seperate the center from the outside sleeve. (torch or a long time on a gas grill)

once the center and most of the rubber has been removed you need to cut out the outside sleeve. you can do this with a cold chisel or my preferred method; use a sawzall, put the blade through the opening and make 2 cuts opposite of each other and then use something to seperate the halfs from the control arm.

it's work no matter how you do it. make sure you get it aligned when you are done.

No doubt. I'm going to end up replacing an axle with a destroyed boot as well and change the transmission fluid. I've got other cars to drive, so it's not a big deal if this takes a week.
