Default vTech Power Loss

Just bought apexi Neo for the Vtech controller. Got it all working. set my vtech to 4000 rpms. I was just wondering if anyone has seen or knows of a graph or the numbers in which vTech ultimately would start to lose power. basically if i set it a 1000 how much top end am i going to lose. its on a h22.

thanks.

Ok, if you look on the back of your vtech, you'll see two cords, a power cord, and a phone cord. It's most likely going to be the power cord thats unplugged, it may be unplugged from the vtech itself, possibly from the wall, check both of these and if all seems good, try another outlet, maybe the one you are using is bad.

By dropping VTEC too low, you hurt bottom end. The top end should be unaffected.

I would check the battery on the VTECH phone usually the batteries dont last to long in cordless phones.

He's not talking about the phone he's talking about this

But in all seriousness, to the OP, don't set vtec cross-over to 1000 RPM, that'll kill your bottom end.

set L-H vtec to 5200, H-L to 4800.

dont touch anything else. Have someone tune it on a dyno or remove it from the car.

it is hooked up and working fine. i was simply asking if you would lose top end or bottom end if you set vtech to come on to early.

It's VTEC. Not VTECH.
You lose bottom end if VTEC comes on too early.
The top end is the same.

i'll state the obvious: it is vtec (no 'h')
when you spell it as 'vtech', you're undermining your own credibility. it's kind of hard to look past that...although you did get some sincere responses.

also, because all engines are different (even those which are stock) each will respond differently to the same input. there is no 'one size fits all' solution, so the exact rpm at which you should set your cams to switch can only be correctly determined [drum roll] on a dyno. i write this because if you're really, really interested in extracting the last little bit of power, which is the impression i get from your original post, then that's the right way to do it.

g/l.
