Default AWD and Turbo cars to be bumped from STS to STX?

I know this is somewhat old news, but from the August 2002 Fastrack in Sportscar ( http://www.scca.org/news/fastrack/02-08.pdf )...

"The SEB has reviewed and is presenting for member feedback the STAC's current statement of vision for this category, which is as follows: If STX reaches National status, the vehicle eligibility for STS would be restricted to permit only 2WD N/A vehicles, and all others (AWD, turbos) would go into STX. The STAC believes that models such as the Subaru Impreza 2.5RS would remain viable cars for STX."

The 2.5RS is a dominant car in STS, but in STX it would have to compete with the WRX.

Only in a ProSolo format.

Otherwise a pretty equally matched car for STS and G-Stock. I say keep them...

Heheh thankfully I haven't had to compete against a 2.5RS this year Richard West hasn't visited our region.

I concur. AWD gives the 2.5 RS a big advantage in ProSolo, but results from last year's Solo II nat'l champ'ship and this year's Peru nat'l tour event (among others) demonstrate that the Subie is not all that dominant. I don't see the need to change anything, except to improve my driving skillz yo!

The 2.5RS is a dominant car in STS,
Q: What car won STS last year in Topeka?
A: Not a 2.5RS.

Take out the AWD prosolo launch advantage, and they are NOT a spectacular car.
