Default Mounts needed for z6 swap?

Correct me if im wrong, but shouldnt a full z6 engine swap bolt right in to my 91 si?

..providing you use the 88-91 tranny and the 88-91 driver's side mount...simple.

Yes, the motor will bolt right up. You just have to use your trans.

yup i just did this swap, use all your old mounts and bolt on your tranny

So why is it that you dont need aftermarket mounts with an EG/EK to drop a B-series engine into it? You dont need aftermarket mounts to drop the D16Z6 into an "EF" but you need them for a B-series? It's not that I doubt any of you it just seems a little weird to me thats all.

because the crx/civic has a d-series engine in it already, its like putting a b-series into an integra, its already there, no need for a mount kit...

Yes, I used all the stock mounts for my Y8 (basically the same). However, you will have to switch the mount bracket on the Z6 and bolt on yor old A6 one. Easy Easy Easy. You will also have to grind about 1/8th of an inch off the side facing the timing belt so that the belt doesn't rub on the bracket. You do not use the piece that reaches around to the front of the engine. Everything else requires no modification, provided you use the stock tranny, etc etc.
